Forced Recurring Donation Language -- Change "Monthly Membership Investment" to "Monthly Gift"
If you force the frequency to be recurring on the new crowdfunding pages, the language "Monthly Membership Investment" is used. Not only can "investment" come across as cold and detached, but it's not widely used in the industry and our organization does not want to use it. Additionally, "Membership" is misleading and confusing as our supporters will not become members. This language is way too niche for the functionality of the button.
Changing "Monthly Membership Investment" to "Monthly Gift" allows for a broader use of the functionality and is much softer.
We really need to use the forced recurring donation functionality but cannot currently do so because of this language.
This is great feedback! We are going to investigate this further to better understand how to find a better solution.
Thanks for your patience.

We have run into this issue too. With the new "code" the forced monthly option now displays "your membership investment". It would be nice to be able to edit this or at least just have it default to "Your Monthly Investment", as this could lead to confusion with our supporters.

I agree! I'm new to Classy and the very first campaign I'm building is a child sponsorship platform for over 300 children. For child sponsorships, donors give a standard $38/month, so I need to use the forced recurring donation option. But the verbiage of "monthly membership investment" doesn't apply to child sponsorship. If this was simply changed to "monthly gift" or "monthly payment," I could roll this campaign out immediately. Until then, I'll have to continue with a different platform service for our child sponsorship programs.

Membership is the WRONG word. Donors want to invest in their communities and give a gift. Besides the word MEMBERSHIP can cause a taxation problem with the IRS.
