Option to sync failed transactions to Salesforce
Other platforms often will by default or optionally sync failed transaction attempts to Salesforce as Closed Lost Opportunities. This is helpful because it allows a streamlined way, particularly when recurring gifts may be coming into Salesforce from various platforms, to understand the status and pattern of a donor's giving.

In order to maintain accurate forecasting reports, if a Classy recurring donation is marked pledged in Salesforce, but it fails to process, it's important that that opportunities stage be changed to closed lost. It is no longer potential revenue because Classy does not make a second attempt at a failed donation. To maintain this manually is extremely time consuming. We have over 1,000 recurring donors.

It would be most helpful to receive a notice of some kind when a recurring donation fails - e.g., an email. Thanks!

It is important for our organization to run reports on declined transactions as well as completed transactions. Declined transactions should be logged in Salesforce as "closed lost" opportunities. This goes for both one time and recurring donations. At a minimum, declined transactions should be logged in Classy. Without this function, it is extremely difficult to calculate churn and to reach out to lapsed donors.
